They is definitely kin...

One of the cool things about having Josie join our family has been to see how alike and how very different Jackson and Josie are. When Holly was looking at the pics we took of Josie after her bath time she realized that we had a strikingly similar shot of Jackson at about the same age and in the same towel. We wanted to share them with you and see if you can tell who is who on first glance. Enjoy!

Party!!!

Without the grandparents and great grandparents, there would have been no party! We celebrated Jackson's birthday Cookie Monster style weekend before last. Needless to say the relatives were anxious to come and visit both of their grandchildren in light of a 2nd birthday and a "birth" day. Mamma Z orchestrated the party and all the prep work. Gran Pat headed up craft time to make C.M. puppets. Grandpa, Granddaddy, and Nana had Josie duties during the festivities. Last but not least, Pappa Z taxied all these folks 8 hours south to the big D for all the fun!!! We are such a blessed family to have so many to love on us. We had a blast visiting and were sad to see them leave.

Josie had her first bath...sorry I couldn't post the sink picture....little risque'. She handled it with grace...no crying even thought I know she was FREEZING!

The shirt says it all. "Fearfully and wonderfully made."

Happy Birthday Jackson!

We celebrated Jackson's birthday this weekend in low key fashion....gonna have a party next weekend! However, you never would have guessed it was low key in Jackson's world. He got to do all of his favorite things together in one weekend. Friday night we took him to his favorite dive, The Alligator Cafe. He loves the live blues music and the fried pickles! He even got the Happy Birthday song sung to him blues style! Saturday he watched the UT game with his Daddy and we won!!! Then Sunday he got his favorite ice cream, gelato......yes, he has expensive taste. Mostly we just got to be together and have fun for three days along with Mamma Z. I don't think it could have been a better birthday :).

Ready....

Pictures!!

We are enjoying some quiet times here in the Jones household. Jonathan has returned to school/work and my mom is still here (thankfully) helping out while I recover. Josie is doing great as well as Jackson. Josie has settled into a great routine already and Jackson loves his role as a big brother. He is precious to watch as he kisses and hugs and caresses his little sis. We are grateful for all the blessings we've received through this new life in our family. I look forward to sharing more on the labor/birth when I am a bit more clear headed to do so. Thanks for your patience and enjoy the pictures.
